For the myclimate label “Engaged for Impact” awarded for events, the values taken into account are all the relevant direct and indirect climate-impacting emissions produced in the execution of an event. The corresponding financial contribution supports myclimate climate protection projects based on the calculated emissions. With these kinds of contributions, the projects ensure that as many emissions are reduced or removed from the atmosphere and stored as were caused during the course of the event and could not be avoided. The projects not only reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but also contribute to the social, ecological and economic development in the respective region.
